You’ll be spoilt for choice when you shop in the Monmouth area. Waitrose, M&S and Co-op can supply groceries (you can order a delivery from Tesco in Hereford or Waitrose in Monmouth), but the majority of shops in Monmouth, Ross and Abergavenny are great little individual enterprises with masses of choice. Market days are Friday & Saturday in Monmouth; Thursday & Saturday in Ross; and Tuesday, Friday & Saturday (plus Flea market every Wednesday) in Abergavenny.

There’s plenty to do in the area besides walking though some wonderful countryside.

I just wanted to extend all of our gratitude and express how much everybody enjoyed themselves at Rockfield. The accommodation was perfect, with everything necessary to make our stay comfortable and convenient. We could not have asked for a better weekend weather-wise but being able to enjoy the grounds and picturesque surroundings really added to the experience.

To meet Kingsley and be allowed to see and hear about the rich heritage of the property and all of the incredible artists who have recorded there really was the icing on the cake! We had an absolutely brilliant weekend. The mountain biking was awesome and the studio tour was a fantastic and unexpected bonus. I had no idea how historically significant Rockwell studios is plus we had some wannabe rockers in the group who unsurprisingly loved it. Also the hosts – Lisa, Amanda and Kingsley – were so relaxed and welcoming.

I will definitely be recommending the place to friends.

Just to let you know that we had a great weekend and everyone was delighted with my choice of property which proved ideal for everyone and was very well stocked for us.

Gail and her colleague cooked us a fantastic meal, the weather was amazing and Kingsley gave us a fascinating and most entertaining tour of the studios on Sunday morning. Thank you so much for helping me to get everything arranged so easily and replying to my various queries so quickly.
